If you’re considering upgrading to a flagship Android smartphone, you might want to hold off for a few more weeks. The next generation of high-end Android devices, powered by Qualcomm ’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, is set to hit the market soon. Leading manufacturers like Xiaomi, OnePlus, iQOO, realme, and Asus will be releasing their latest models, equipped with this powerful chip.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite comes with several impressive upgrades, including Oryon CPU cores, a new Adreno GPU, and an advanced Hexagon NPU. Qualcomm claims that this chip delivers top-tier performance, even rivaling flagship laptop processors from Intel and AMD, especially in single-core performance when running on battery.

Most major Android brands have already unveiled their upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphones. Here are five exciting models to look out for in the Indian market:

realme GT 7 Pro
realme is making a strong return to the flagship segment in India with the realme GT 7 Pro, expected to be the first smartphone in the country to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The company has announced that the phone will launch in November, with availability through Amazon.

Xiaomi 15
Globally, the Xiaomi 15 will be the first smartphone to debut with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It’s set to launch in China early next week, with plans to roll out in other regions, including India, in the near future.

OnePlus 13
Launching on October 31, the OnePlus 13 is another highly anticipated Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered phone. It will feature a flat 2K resolution display, a triple 50 MP camera system, and support for up to 120W wired charging alongside 50W wireless charging.

iQOO 13
Following the iQOO 12, which was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the iQOO 13 is one of the first Indian models set to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite. While the design is similar to its predecessor, notable updates include an RGB light ring around the camera. The iQOO 13 will debut in China on October 30, with an Indian release expected soon after.

Asus ROG Phone 9
For gaming enthusiasts, the Asus ROG Phone 9 will launch on November 19 and is expected to offer enhanced performance thanks to its superior cooling system, which allows for sustained peak performance. Like the other models, it will also feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

Although Samsung has yet to announce specifics about its Galaxy S25 series, it's widely believed that they will also feature a customized version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, the Galaxy S25 lineup isn’t expected until early 2025.
