Meta is once again expanding WhatsApp’s features, aiming to enhance user interaction on one of the world’s leading messaging and calling platforms. According to a recent report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently testing a new capability: allowing users to react to messages with stickers.

Stickers have already become a favorite among WhatsApp users, offering a fun and expressive way to communicate emotions. Now, on the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.25.13.23, Meta is taking things further by introducing sticker reactions — similar to how users currently react with emojis.

At present, the feature is being tested on Android beta versions, but Meta is expected to introduce it to iOS beta users soon as well. Given the current progress, the full rollout to all users could happen within the next few weeks.

A screenshot shared by WABetaInfo reveals that by long-pressing a message, users will be able to open a bar with their most-used emojis, which they can now customize by adding stickers. These stickers can then be used directly as reactions to messages.

Until now, users were limited to using only emojis for reactions. The upcoming update will expand this by allowing stickers from WhatsApp’s official collections, third-party apps, or even user-created stickers to be used.

This new feature is set to give WhatsApp conversations an even more personalized and expressive touch, especially when a regular emoji just doesn’t feel enough.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp has also recently introduced an important privacy update. With the latest features, users now have access to enhanced chat privacy settings that restrict the ability to export messages from a group and prevent media files from being automatically saved to the device gallery — ensuring a more secure and private messaging experience
