Whether you've been using the Google Play Store or the Family Link app, there may come a time when you feel your child is ready for unrestricted browsing. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to turn off parental controls on your Android device using both methods.
Turning off Parental Controls through the Google Play Store
- Open the Google Play Store app and tap the menu icon (three stacked lines).
- Select "Settings," then scroll and tap "Parental controls."
- Enter your parental controls PIN and adjust restrictions for each category. Alternatively, toggle off at the top to disable parental controls entirely.
Clearing App Data (if PIN is forgotten)
- Open the device's Settings app and navigate to "Apps" or " Apps & notifications."
- Select Google Play Store, tap "Storage," and choose " Clear Data ."
Disabling Parental Controls via Google Family Link App
