How to Add Your Favorite Songs to WhatsApp Status Effortlessly

Hero Image
WhatsApp has officially launched a new music feature for Status updates, allowing users to add 15-second audio clips to text, photos, or videos. The update, already popular on Instagram and Facebook (both owned by Meta), is now available to WhatsApp users globally.

Statuses enhanced with music will disappear after 24 hours, following WhatsApp’s existing format. Users can attach 15-second audio snippets to photos and up to 60 seconds for videos, selecting tracks from a library of millions of songs. Despite this addition, WhatsApp assures users that their Status updates remain end-to-end encrypted, meaning even WhatsApp cannot access the shared content.

How to Add Music to Your WhatsApp Status
🎵 Step 1: Open WhatsApp and tap the "Updates" tab at the bottom.
🎵 Step 2: Click "Add Status" and choose between text, photo, video, or voice (or capture a new one).
🎵 Step 3: After selecting your media, tap the music icon (🎵) at the top.
🎵 Step 4: Browse "Popular in India" or search for a specific song.
🎵 Step 5: Once selected, hit "Done", then press the green arrow to post your music-powered Status.

This update enhances WhatsApp’s Status feature, bringing it closer to Instagram and Facebook Stories in terms of creative expression.
