Exclusive Benefit For Twitter Blue Subscribers: Upload 2-Hour-Long Videos On Twitter

On Thursday, Elon Musk shared the exciting news that verified users on Twitter can now upload videos lasting up to two hours. “Twitter Blue Verified subscribers can now upload 2-hour videos (8GB)!,” Musk tweeted.


The latest development coincides with Elon Musk's recent appointment of Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of the micro-blogging site, just a few days prior.

It's worth noting that non-verified Twitter users are limited to uploading videos with a maximum duration of 140 seconds (2 minutes and 20 seconds). Previously, verified users could upload videos with a maximum duration of 60 minutes. However, Elon Musk's recent announcement has expanded this limit for verified users to now accommodate videos up to two hours or 8GB in size.


On April 1, Elon Musk introduced the Twitter Blue subscription, available at a cost of $8 per month or $84 per year for users. Indian users, on the other hand, have the option to subscribe at ₹650 per month on the website and ₹900 per month on mobile devices.

1. Verified Twitter users can now upload video s with a duration of up to two hours, providing them with more flexibility in sharing longer video content.

2. The video file size limit for paid users has been expanded from 2GB to 8GB, enabling higher-quality and longer videos to be shared on the platform.

3. Previously, longer video uploads were only possible through the web version of Twitter. However, with the latest update, users can also upload longer videos using the iOS app, further enhancing accessibility and convenience.

4. TechCrunch reports that the maximum quality for video uploads remains at 1080p, ensuring a consistent standard of video playback across the platform.
