IPL 2025 Points Table: Updated Standings and Net Run Rate After LSG vs CSK Clash
Chennai Super Kings finally snapped their five-match losing streak in the IPL 2025, pulling off a thrilling five-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium on Monday. Though the victory brought some relief to the yellow camp, CSK still sit at the bottom of the table.
Chasing 167, CSK found themselves in a tight spot at 111 for 5 in 15 overs. But the calm composure of Shivam Dube (43* off 37) and a vintage MS Dhoni finish (26* off 11) turned the game on its head. The pair stitched together a quickfire 57-run stand off just 27 balls, steering CSK home with three deliveries to spare.
This was only CSK’s second win in seven games, taking their tally to 4 points. However, their poor net run rate and inconsistent performances continue to keep them in 10th place.
Earlier, LSG captain Rishabh Pant played a captain’s knock, scoring a well-paced 63 off 49 to guide his side to a competitive 166. But his efforts went in vain as CSK held their nerve in the final overs.
