The Gujarat Titans have stormed into second place in the IPL 2025 points table after a commanding seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Led by Shubman Gill, the Titans now boast three wins from four matches, racking up 6 points and an impressive net run rate (NRR) of +1.031.

Delhi Capitals continue to dominate the leaderboard, remaining unbeaten with three wins in as many games and a superior NRR of +1.257.

At the other end of the table, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s campaign has gone from bad to worse. The Pat Cummins-led side has now lost four out of five matches, with just one win to show for their efforts. Their dismal NRR of -1.629 only adds to their woes as they languish at the bottom of the table.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru sit comfortably in third place with 4 points from three games and the best NRR in the league so far at +1.149. Punjab Kings follow in fourth, also on 4 points but with a modest NRR of +0.074.

Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants share the mid-table zone, each with 4 points from four games and almost identical NRRs of +0.070 and +0.048 respectively. Rajasthan Royals are also in the mix with 4 points, but their negative NRR of -0.185 pulls them down a notch.

Meanwhile, heavyweights Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings find themselves in unfamiliar territory. Both teams have only one win from four outings. MI edges slightly ahead with an NRR of +0.108, while CSK’s form slump is evident with a troubling NRR of -0.891.

As the tournament heats up, some teams are already rising to the occasion, while others are in desperate need of a turnaround.
