Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) stormed to the top of the IPL 2025 points table after a dominant six-wicket win over Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. With this, RCB made it six wins out of six on the road, racking up 14 points from 10 games to comfortably claim the No.1 spot.

It was another clinical show away from home for RCB, while Delhi slipped to fourth after suffering their third defeat in nine matches. Earlier in the day, Mumbai Indians beat Lucknow Super Giants to climb to third, slotting between second-placed Gujarat Titans and Delhi based on net run rate.

Opting to bowl first, RCB’s experienced pace duo, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3/33) and Josh Hazlewood (2/36), made full use of the slow pitch to pin Delhi down to 162 for 8. Krunal Pandya (1/28) and Yash Dayal (1/42) chipped in with crucial breakthroughs.

The chase, though, wasn’t smooth. RCB stumbled to 26 for 3 early, but Virat Kohli (51 off 47) steadied the ship. Krunal Pandya then took over, smashing an unbeaten 73 off just 47 balls. Tim David added the finishing fireworks, blasting 19* off just five balls to wrap up the win with nine balls to spare.

With the momentum surging, RCB are shaping up as serious contenders for a top-two finish as the league enters its final stretch.
