The first winner was Australia’s Shaun Marsh, who scored 616 runs for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). One of the most unforgettable performances came from Virat Kohli in IPL 2016, where he amassed a record-breaking 973 runs—the highest ever in a single IPL season. Chris Gayle holds a unique distinction as the only player to win the Orange Cap in back-to-back seasons (2011 and 2012). Meanwhile, David Warner stands out as the only three-time winner (2015, 2017, 2019).
