With only two weeks left for the ICC World Cup 2023, cricket fans around the world are buzzing with excitement. The ICC recently unveiled the official anthem for this year's tournament in India , titled 'Dil Jashn Bole.' While the anthem received mixed reactions on social media, Adidas, the official kit partner for the Indian cricket team, added even more spice to the anticipation by launching their own anthem. This 2-minute and 21-second anthem is aptly named "Impossible Nahi Ye Sapna, 3 Ka Dream Hai Apna" and taps into India's aspiration to secure their third ODI World Cup victory.

In the history of the ODI World Cup, India has two significant triumphs to its name. Kapil Dev led the Indian team to their maiden ODI World Cup title in 1983, and MS Dhoni ended a long wait by securing India's second ODI World Cup victory in 2011. In between these victories, India clinched another World Cup in 2007, but in the T20 format.

The Adidas anthem features prominent Indian cricket stars, including team captain Rohit Sharma , superstar Virat Kohli , vice-captain Hardik Pandya, emerging talent Shubman Gill , fast bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur , all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja , and spinner Kuldeep Yadav .

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tweeted, "1983 - the spark. 2011 - the glory. 2023 - the dream. Impossible nahi yeh sapna, #3kaDream hai apna."

In addition to its catchy rap and a message of hope to end India's long wait for an ICC trophy, the video also provided a sneak peek at India's World Cup jersey.

One noticeable change from the jerseys worn during the recently concluded Asia Cup was the replacement of the three white stripes over the shoulder with India's tricolor. The jerseys sported by Rohit, Kohli, and other team members in the video featured orange, white, and green stripes on the shoulder.

The move by Adidas to incorporate the tricolor stripes was well-received by netizens, elevating India's World Cup jersey to a new level. Another change in the World Cup jersey compared to the Asia Cup version is the absence of the Dream 11 logo, as per ICC regulations, which only permit the team's name in the center of the jersey.

Despite not securing an ICC title since their Champions Trophy victory in 2013, India enters the ODI World Cup as one of the favorites. The team's strength, recent form, and familiarity with home conditions make them strong contenders. India's preparation for the tournament received a boost when they won the Asia Cup for a record-extending eighth time.

The two-time ODI World Cup champions will kick off their campaign against Australia on October 8 in Chennai. The tournament opener will feature England and New Zealand in Ahmedabad, echoing a rematch of the last edition's final.
