Match Recap: India vs. England, 1st T20I
The first T20I saw India win the toss and choose to field first. The decision paid off as the Indian bowlers delivered a stellar performance, restricting England to a modest total of 132 runs in their 20 overs. Varun Chakravarthy was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets, while Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya, and Axar Patel picked up two wickets each.

For England, captain Jos Buttler waged a lone battle with the bat, scoring an impressive 68 runs. However, the lack of support from other batters meant the visitors fell short of a competitive total.

With this victory and Arshdeep’s record-breaking performance, India begins the T20I series on a high note.
