Craving a homemade pizza but don't have an oven? No worries! You can still indulge in a mouthwatering pizza by preparing it on the stovetop or in the microwave. Here's an easy and tasty recipe for stovetop pan pizza:

Stovetop Pan Pizza Recipe: Ingredients-For the Pizza Dough
  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • For the Pizza Toppings:
    • Tomato sauce or pizza sauce
    • Shredded mozzarella cheese
    • Your favourite pizza toppings (e.g., sliced bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives, pepperoni, etc.)
    • Dried oregano and red chilli flakes (optional, for extra flavour)
    Instructions: Prepare the Pizza Dough
    • In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  • In a separate large bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour.
  • Mix everything together to form a soft and smooth dough. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing it to rise.
  • Divide the Dough and Roll It Out:
    • Once the dough has risen, divide it into smaller portions depending on the size of the pizzas you want to make.
  • Take one portion of the dough and roll it out on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness, making sure it fits the size of your pan.

  • Prepare the Pan:
    • Heat a non-stick pan on low to medium heat and grease it with a little oil or butter.
    Cook the Pizza Base:
    • Carefully place the rolled-out pizza dough on the heated pan. Cook it on low heat for a few minutes until the bottom side turns golden brown and is cooked.
    Add the Toppings:
    • Flip the pizza base so that the cooked side is facing up.
    • Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce or pizza sauce on the cooked side of the base.
    • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
    • Add your favourite pizza toppings over the cheese layer.
    Cover and Cook:
    • Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low heat for a few more minutes until the cheese melts, and the toppings are heated through.
    Finish Cooking:
    • For a crispier crust, you can cook the pizza for a little longer without the lid, allowing the bottom to become crispy.
    Garnish and Serve:
    • Once the cheese is melted, and the toppings are cooked to your liking, remove the pan from the heat.
    • Garnish the pizza with dried oregano and red chilli flakes if desired.
    • Your homemade stovetop pan pizza is now ready to be sliced and served hot.
