Mukesh Ambani Faces 3rd Death Threat, Rs 400 Crore Ransom Demanded
In a troubling turn of events, Mukesh Ambani , the influential billionaire who serves as the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries , has found himself at the center of a harrowing ordeal. On Monday, he received a chilling third death threat via email, with the perpetrators demanding an astronomical ransom of Rs 400 crore. This shocking development follows a series of menacing threats that have besieged him over the past four days, with the initial ransom demand set at Rs 200 crore.
The menacing email, sent by the yet-to-be-identified culprits, stated that their demands had escalated due to the lack of response to their previous correspondence, as reported by Mirror Now.
The first ominous email came to light when Ambani's company received a threatening message last Friday, in which an anonymous sender brazenly demanded Rs 20 crore. The gravity of the situation further intensified on the subsequent day, as Saturday brought another distressing email, this time demanding a staggering Rs 200 crore.
The situation took an even more sinister turn on Monday, as the company was confronted with a third email from the same sender. This time, the extortionists had doubled their ransom demand, seeking an eye-watering Rs 400 crore, according to PTI, quoting a police official.
Law enforcement agencies in Mumbai are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to trace the identity of the email sender. The Mumbai police, in conjunction with their crime branch and cyber teams, are working diligently to apprehend the culprits and ensure the safety of Mukesh Ambani.
This unsettling incident bears a stark resemblance to a previous case from last year when an individual hailing from Darbhanga, Bihar, was apprehended by the Mumbai police. The individual had made death threats targeting Mukesh Ambani and his family members, who wield immense influence over the vast Reliance Industries conglomerate. The accused had also issued dire threats to detonate the Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. The incident served as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by high-profile individuals and the constant vigilance required to maintain their safety and security.
