If you have an IGL connection but aren’t using it regularly, you can temporarily shut it down and reactivate it whenever needed. Here’s how you can do it.

Steps to Temporarily Close Your IGL Gas Connection

If you’re not using your IGL gas connection, you still have to pay the bill. To avoid this, you can temporarily suspend the connection by contacting IGL customer care .

When you call, provide your 10-digit Business Partner (BP) number and request to temporarily close your connection. Afterward, IGL's technical team will visit your home to close the gas pipe connection.

How to Get a Security Deposit Refund

When you initially get an IGL pipe gas connection , you are required to pay a security deposit. If you are temporarily closing your connection, you can request a refund of this deposit.

To do so, follow these steps:

Fill out the form and submit it to the IGL office along with a canceled cheque.

Within a few days, your security deposit will be refunded directly to your account.
