Elon Musk Confirms Tesla's Entry Into India After Meeting With PM Modi In The US

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had the opportunity to meet with prominent personalities from various fields in the United States, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk . Following the meeting, Musk expressed his admiration for India , stating that it holds more promise than any other large country and that he is incredibly excited about its future.


In a video statement, Musk praised Modi, remarking that the Prime Minister "really cares about India because he is pursuing us to make significant investments in India." He further added, " I am a fan of Modi ."

Musk also highlighted India's potential for solar energy investment and described his discussions with the Prime Minister as excellent.


After their meeting, Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter, stating, "Great meeting you today @elonmusk! We had multifaceted conversations on issues ranging from energy to spirituality." In response, Musk replied, "It was an honour to meet again."

Tesla in India :


Elon Musk expressed his plans to visit India next year and shared his confidence in Tesla 's presence in the country, stating, "I am confident that Tesla will be in India and will do so as soon as humanly possible."

He further said, "I would like to thank the Prime Minister for his support and hopefully we will be able to announce something in the not so distant future. We do not want to jump the gun on an announcement but I think it is quite likely that it will be a significant investment in our relationship with India."

Musk affirmed that Twitter is obligated to comply with the local government and face the consequence of being shut down if it fails to do so.


In response to Jack Dorsey's recent allegation against the Indian government, Musk stated, "The best we can do is to follow the laws in any given country," emphasising that going beyond that is impossible for them.

Musk acknowledged that different forms of governments have different rules and regulations. He assured, "We will do our best to provide the freest speech that is possible under the law," acknowledging the commitment to ensuring maximum freedom of speech within legal boundaries.

As part of his visit to the US from June 21-24, Prime Minister Modi has been engaging with a wide array of thought leaders from diverse fields, including Nobel laureates, economists, artists, scientists, scholars, entrepreneurs, academicians, and experts in the health sector.
