You can apply for an e-Shram card through the CSC (Common Service Centre) or the e-Shram portal . Eligible individuals can visit the nearest CSC center to apply. To find the nearest CSC center, use the e-Shram Portal by entering your state and district.


Online Application Process for e-Shram Card
  1. Visit the Portal: Go to the e-Shram portal's self-registration page.
  2. Enter Details: Input your Aadhaar-linked mobile number and the captcha code, then click 'Send OTP'.
  3. Validate OTP: Enter your Aadhaar number, agree to the terms and conditions, and input the OTP sent to your mobile number. Click 'Validate'.
  4. Confirm Personal Details: Review and confirm the personal details displayed.
  5. Fill in Required Information: Provide necessary details like address and educational qualifications.
  6. Specify Skills and Work: Select your skill set, business nature, and type of work.
  7. Bank Details and Declaration: Enter your bank details and complete the self-declaration.
  8. Review and Submit: Click 'Preview' to verify your information, then click 'Submit'.
  9. OTP Verification: An OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Enter it and click 'Verify'.
  10. Card Generation: Your e-Shram card will be generated and displayed on the screen.

You can download your e-Shram card by clicking the download option.

How to Download e-Shram Card

After applying, follow these steps to download your e-Shram card:


  1. Visit the Portal: Go to the e-Shram portal.
  2. Access Profile: Click on the ‘Already Registered’ tab and select ‘Update Profile Using UAN’.
  3. Enter Details: Input your UAN number, date of birth, captcha code, and click 'Generate OTP'.
  4. Validate OTP: Enter the OTP received on your mobile number and click 'Validate'.
  5. Confirm Details: Review and confirm the personal details displayed.
  6. Submit and Verify: Click 'Preview' to verify the details, then click 'Submit'. Enter the OTP sent to your mobile number and click 'Verify'.
  7. Download Card: Your e-Shram card will be displayed on the screen, and you can download it by clicking the download option.
