Virat Kohli has reportedly unfollowed the popular Canada-based singer Shubh on Instagram . This decision came in response to a controversial post by the singer, where he shared a map of India that raised concerns in light of the Khalistan separatist issues facing the country. Shubh has faced accusations of supporting this controversial group, leading to outrage among Indian citizens.
Not too long ago, Virat Kohli had praised Shubh's remarkable musical talent publicly. Kohli's appreciation for Shubh was evident in an Instagram post where he wrote, "My favourite artist right now @shubhworldwide, and my all-time dancer doing what he does on this song is love. Truly mesmerised."
In response to Kohli's post, Shubh graciously thanked the cricket star, saying, "Thank you so much bhaji."
Virat Kohli recently led Team India to victory in the Asia Cup 2023, where his batting performance was nothing short of spectacular. He played a memorable innings, scoring an unbeaten 122 runs against arch-rivals Pakistan. Remarkably, this marked Kohli's 47th century in his One Day International (ODI) career. Kohli, along with KL Rahul , forged a formidable 200-run partnership, helping India set a formidable total of 356 runs on the scoreboard. In response, the Pakistani team succumbed to the immense pressure of the run chase, resulting in a one-sided defeat. India continued their dominant streak by defeating Sri Lanka to secure a spot in the final but stumbled in the Super Four round against Bangladesh.
Nevertheless, the Men in Blue bounced back to dominate the grand final of the Asia Cup. Mohammad Siraj's exceptional bowling performance rattled the Sri Lankan batting lineup, restricting them to a paltry 50 runs. In reply, openers Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan chased down the target with ease, securing India's eighth Asia Cup title on Sunday.
