The actor-politician breathed his last in Raipur late Saturday night due to a sudden heart attack. His untimely demise has left BJP workers and the Chhattisgarhi film industry (Chhollywood) in deep mourning.

Rajesh Awasthi passed away at around 11:30 PM in Raipur, and his last rites will be conducted today at Malwadi crematorium in the capital.
