Lights, Camera, Action! Alia Bhatt Starts 'Jigra' Shoot, Shares Pics from Day 1 Shoot

Alia Bhatt commenced filming for her eagerly awaited project, " Jigra ." This cinematic venture is a collaborative effort between Dharma Productions and Alia 's personal production company, Eternal Sunshine Production. To mark the commencement of shooting, Alia graciously posted several behind-the-scenes snapshots from the first day of production on her Instagram feed.

The initial image captures Alia Bhatt gazing skyward in front of her vanity van, her expression filled with contemplation. In a separate snapshot, Alia exudes a captivating intensity. Additionally, another picture portrays Alia in the process of having her makeup applied, with her sister Shaheen by her side on the set. Furthermore, glimpses of a pair of stylish shoes, the director, and the clapboard are interspersed within the collection.

Alia wrote in the caption, "And we're rolling .. day one of bringing our jigra to life.. stay tuned as we bring to you a piece of our hearts.. fingers and toes crossed for the journey aheaddddddd ..love TEAM JIGRA." Alia Bhatt received best wishes from her colleagues.

Sonam Kapoor penned her heartfelt congratulations with a touch of endearment, saying, "Congratulations darling!" While Ranveer Singh expressed his warm wishes and wrote, "Love and luck!"

Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar conveyed her emotions with a flurry of heart and smile emojis, Soni Razdan wrote, "All the best." Dia Mirza joined in, sharing her support with a collection of emojis on Alia's post.

The movie was officially announced just last week, with Alia Bhatt sharing a heartfelt message. In her extensive note, she revealed, "Presenting Jigra, directed by the extremely talented @vasanbala and produced by @dharmamovies & @eternalsunshineproduction. From debuting in a Dharma production to now producing a film with them, in many ways, it feels like coming full circle from where I started. Every day is a different day... exciting, challenging (and a little scary)... not just as an actor but also as a producer as we bring this film to life, and I CANNOT wait to share more as we move forward."

Alia Bhatt marked her debut in the film industry with Karan Johar's directorial venture, "Student Of The Year" in 2012, alongside Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. Later on, Alia collaborated with Karan Johar once more for "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani," which hit the screens a few months ago and achieved substantial box office success.

Alia's foray into film production began with her first production, "Darlings," which she co-produced with Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma. Vasan Bala, the director of Alia's upcoming project "Jigra," is renowned for his work on films like "Mard Ko Dard Nehi Hota" and "Monica, O My Darling." He has also made his mark as a dialogue writer for movies such as "The Lunchbox" (2013) and "Rukh" (2017). Furthermore, Vasan Bala's expertise extends to casting, having contributed as a casting director for notable films like "Dev.D" (2009) and "That Girl in Yellow Boots" (2010).
