In the world of Bollywood, love often knows no boundaries, including age. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan 's love story is a testament to this. The two stars tied the knot in 2012 after years of dating, but their age difference became a topic of discussion for many. Saif was born in 1970, while Kareena was born in 1980.

Addressing the age-related criticism they faced, Kareena Kapoor spoke to Indian Express and had a humorous response.

She stated, “When has age ever mattered, he is hotter than ever. I am happy I am 10 years younger, he should be worried. No one would say he has turned 53. Age does not matter, what matters is respect and love and the fact that we have fun with each other.”

Love Overcomes All Differences
Beyond age, another aspect of their relationship that has garnered attention is their different faiths. In a world where interfaith relationships are often scrutinised, Kareena Kapoor had a strong message.

She said, “We spend so much time discussing interfaith (relationships). So much energy, so much that they are 10 years apart. The important thing is to have fun. The most important thing between Saif and I is that we like each other and enjoy our company. How should it matter what faith he follows or what his age is that isn’t even a point of discussion.”

A Love Story That Blossomed
Kareena and Saif's love story began several years before they exchanged vows in October 2012 in Mumbai. Prior to Kareena, Saif was married to actor Amrita Singh, and they parted ways in 2004.

From his previous marriage, Saif has two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. With Kareena, he welcomed two sons into the world, Taimur Ali Khan in 2016 and Jehangir Ali Khan in 2021.

Upcoming Projects
While Kareena Kapoor's personal life is often in the spotlight, her professional career continues to shine. She is set to make her OTT debut in filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh 's adaptation of the Japanese novel ‘Devotion of Suspect X’, titled ‘Jaane Jaan’. The film, which also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat, will be released on Netflix on September 21.

Additionally, Kareena has another exciting project in the pipeline—director Hansal Mehta's film ‘The Buckingham Murders’. She is also part of ‘The Crew’, alongside Tabu, Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh. Fans can anticipate Kapil Sharma's special cameo role in 'The Crew', which is scheduled to hit theatres on March 22, 2024.
