Kangana Ranaut Criticises Singer Shubh For 'Celebrating' Indira Gandhi's Assassin: 'Shameful Act...'
Kangana Ranaut criticised controversial singer Shubh for what was described as allegedly glorifying the killers of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. On Tuesday, the Tejas actress responded to a post that suggested Shubh had “glorified Indira Gandhi’s killers in London by wearing hoodie with pic and date of her assassination on the map of Punjab” Kangana denounced Shubh's actions and referred to it as a “shameful act of cowardice”.
Kangana Ranaut expressed her strong disapproval, stating, “Celebrating the cowardly killing of an old woman by those who she appointed as her saviours. When you are trusted to protect but you take advantage of the trust and faith and use the same weapons to kill the ones were suppose to protect then it’s a shameful act of cowardice not of bravery”.
She continued, “One must be ashamed of such a cowardly attack on an elderly lady who was disarmed and unaware, a lady who was the chosen leader of a democracy, nothing to glorify here Shubham ji. Shame!!!".
Notably, this incident coincides with Kangana's ongoing work on her upcoming film "Emergency." In the movie, Kangana is set to portray the character of Indira Gandhi. What's remarkable is that the actress is not only taking on the lead role but is also in the director's chair for the project.
In the meantime, Shubh frequently makes headlines in India due to his controversial actions. Earlier this year, he had scheduled performances in Mumbai from September 23 to 25 as part of the Cruise Control 4.0 event, which was organized aboard the Cordelia Cruise.
Additionally, Shubh had planned a three-month-long tour across India, with performances scheduled in various cities, including New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. However, his tour was canceled due to alleged associations with separatist Khalistani elements.
