Blinkit Offers Free ‘Sikandar’ Tickets As Salman Khan’s Film Faces Backlash
Quick-commerce platform Blinkit has introduced an exclusive offer for Salman Khan’s latest film, Sikandar . Customers who place orders worth ₹1,000 or more can avail a free movie ticket, amid the film’s lukewarm box office opening and mixed to negative reviews.
Although Blinkit has not officially announced the Sikandar ticket giveaway, users have reported that the offer is available on the app.
Sikandar’s Box Office Performance
According to industry data-tracking platform Sacnilk, Sikandar has collected ₹26.4 crore nett in India since its release. The film failed to surpass the Day 1 collection of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, raising concerns about its performance.
Adding to its troubles, reports surfaced that Sikandar was leaked online, sparking discussions on social media. The combination of a leaked release and underwhelming box office numbers has led to a wave of memes and criticism online.
Mixed Reactions on Social Media
One X user sarcastically commented,
"#Sikandar is so bad that producers leaked the movie online. Swiggy & Blinkit are giving free movie tickets. Poor Salman fans, bhai ruined their #EidAlFitr."
Another expressed disappointment with the action sequences,
"#Sikandar is typical #SalmanKhan action with stale stunts and a weak social angle."
