Aamir Khan Ropes In 'Dangal' Co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh For His Upcoming Project, Suggests Report

Aamir Khan, who voluntarily took a sabbatical from the movies, is now preparing to return to our screens, sparking anticipation among fans. Following the disappointment of his film Laal Singh Chaddha last year, the actor took a break and has since been spending quality time with his family at home, engaging in script reading, and dedicating time to his production house.

According to a report from Pinkvilla, Aamir Khan has enlisted his Dangal co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh for his upcoming production, to be directed by Advait Chandan, known for his work on Secret Superstar. The film, currently untitled, is expected to be a light-hearted comedy-drama with an ensemble cast. The report further reveals that Advait is currently refining the script, with production slated to begin in the first half of 2024.

Returning to Aamir's break, in a recent event, he shared an anecdote about the time his children, Junaid and Ira, expressed their need for personal space, highlighting that they also have their own lives and cannot dedicate all of their time to him.

At News18 India's 'Amrit Ratna 2023' event, Aamir Khan shared that after a year and a half, his children had a candid conversation with him, stating, "You have always been an extreme person. When you were working, you were only working. And now you want to stay only with us. There is a middle road that normal people follow. We too have a life and we need time for ourselves."

Elaborating on his experience, Aamir conveyed that he had been channeling his frustrations towards the film industry, believing it to be the cause of his detachment from his family. Realizing the fallacy of this notion, he recognized that he was unjustly directing his ire at both the cinema and himself. He confided in his family that he had concluded his professional commitments and was now committed to dedicating his time to them.

Recently, Aamir also disclosed that his daughter would be marrying her fiancé, Nupur Shikhare, in the early months of the upcoming year. The actor expressed his certainty that tears will flow freely at the ceremony.
