Suzuki Hayabusa Gets Greener & Bolder In 2025 With Emission Upgrade & New Colours

Suzuki Motorcycle India has given its legendary flagship sports tourer, the Hayabusa, a fresh update for 2025. Priced at ₹16.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the latest model now complies with India’s OBD2-B emission regulations and introduces a trio of striking new paint schemes. While the core mechanical package remains unchanged, this update ensures the Hayabusa continues to stand tall in the high-performance motorcycle segment, combining cutting-edge rider aids, aggressive styling, and everyday rideability.

Engine Carries On, Now Greener
The 2025 Hayabusa retains its signature 1340cc inline-four-cylinder engine, which produces a formidable 187 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox, the powertrain continues to deliver the explosive acceleration and effortless highway cruising that the nameplate is celebrated for. However, the key improvement lies in its upgraded emission system.

In line with the latest OBD2-B compliance standards, the engine now includes onboard diagnostics to monitor critical emission-related components in real time. This ensures cleaner exhaust emissions and allows for easier fault detection, bringing the Hayabusa in line with India’s evolving environmental regulations without sacrificing its renowned performance.

No Mechanical Shake-Ups
From a hardware standpoint, the 2025 model sticks to a tried-and-tested configuration. Suspension duties are managed by fully adjustable upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock, ensuring both agility and comfort across varied conditions. Braking remains top-notch with twin Brembo Stylema callipers and large discs up front, complemented by a single Nissin disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS provides added safety under hard braking or slippery road conditions.

This unchanged setup is good news for loyalists who value the balance, composure and long-distance capabilities that the Hayabusa has consistently delivered. While other superbikes may edge ahead on racetrack-specific specs, the Hayabusa continues to blend real-world usability with serious performance.

New Colours Add Flair
A significant visual refresh comes in the form of three all-new colour combinations. Riders can now choose from Metallic Mat Steel Green with Glass Sparkle Black, Glass Sparkle Black with Metallic Mat Titanium Silver, and Metallic Mystic Silver with Pearl Vigor Blue. These new shades inject a fresh visual identity into the bike while maintaining its muscular, streamlined silhouette. Suzuki has clearly focused on subtle, premium styling over loud graphics, which complements the Hayabusa’s mature appeal.

These paint schemes will be available across all authorised Suzuki Bike Zone dealerships in the country, giving enthusiasts a broader range of personalisation from the showroom floor.

Feature-Rich and Ready for the Road
The 2025 Hayabusa continues to pack a suite of advanced electronics designed to give riders confidence and control, regardless of the environment. A six-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) enables precision rider aids, including cornering ABS, traction control, and anti-wheelie systems. The model also features cruise control for relaxed highway riding and a bi-directional quickshifter that allows seamless gear changes without clutch use.

Riders can select from three power modes to suit their preferences — whether commuting through traffic, cruising on open roads or enjoying spirited weekend rides. Other practical features include the Low RPM Assist, which prevents stalling at low speeds, and the Easy Start System that allows the engine to be fired up with a single button press.

Also onboard is a sleek TFT LCD instrument console that provides comprehensive ride data in a legible format. The layout is intuitive and designed for ease of use even at a quick glance. Hill hold control, another inclusion, ensures the bike remains stationary on inclines — an especially useful feature in city scenarios or during touring.

A Timely Evolution for an Icon
The 2025 Hayabusa update is more evolutionary than revolutionary, but it’s a strategic and necessary step to keep the legendary superbike compliant with new environmental standards. Suzuki has wisely chosen not to interfere with the formula that has worked for decades. Instead, it has ensured the Hayabusa stays relevant and exciting, both visually and functionally, while maintaining its raw appeal to purists.

With this update, the Hayabusa continues to be a compelling choice for those looking for a motorcycle that can do everything — from aggressive acceleration to long-distance cruising — with style, safety and sophistication.
