Revolutionary Flying Motorcycle: Lazareth Moto Volante LMV 496 Unveiled at Geneva Motor Show
The Lazareth Moto Volante LMV 496 flying motorcycle made its debut at the Geneva International Motor Show in Doha, Qatar. This exciting event began on October 5th and will run until October 14th.
France-based Ludovic Lazareth will produce only five units of this remarkable flying motorcycle .
Utilizing jet propulsion, this airborne motorcycle represents an advancement from the LM-84, a previous model propelled by a 470-horsepower Maserati engine. However, the latest version has embraced an electric powertrain, replacing the conventional petrol engine, and boasts an impressive range of nearly 100 kilometers.
The transition from a terrestrial motorcycle to a flying machine occurs with the simple flick of a switch. As the wheels shift from their upright position to a horizontal plane, four jet turbines emerge from the wheel hubs, preparing for flight. In under a minute, the motorcycle rises from the ground, thanks to the combined power of four JetCat jet turbines, each spinning at an astonishing 96,000 revolutions per minute, generating an impressive total of 1,300 horsepower.
Concealed within the bodywork is a kerosene reservoir, providing the motorcycle with a substantial fuel capacity to support its airborne adventure for a duration of ten minutes above the Earth's surface. This flying machine can attain an altitude of up to 3.3 feet during flight, and future advancements are expected to further extend this range.
