"Dorohedoro" breaks the mold with its end credits by featuring different songs and animations every other episode. These sequences are filled with quirky references, including a nod to the video game "Doom" in the third ending theme.
The original manga's soundtrack, curated by Q Hayashida, features dark, industrial music from international artists. While the Netflix anime doesn't include the same tracks, it does capture a similar vibe, especially during intense scenes.
The series pays homage to horror classics like "Dawn of the Dead" and video games like "Resident Evil." Episode 3, titled "Night of the Dead," is full of these references, including a scene where characters battle zombies, reminiscent of these iconic works.

Slipknot makes another appearance in Episode 7 during a baseball game. Four dead men on spikes are dressed in a way that resembles the band members' iconic costumes, a dark but fitting tribute to the heavy metal group.
The backgrounds in "Dorohedoro" are filled with details that add depth to the story. During Nikaido's fight with a giant mushroom, you can spot posters inspired by "Alien" and "Kamen Rider," adding another layer of intrigue to the scene.
