JTBC’s upcoming drama, “A Virtuous Business”, has offered a sneak peek of its highly anticipated premiere! This K-drama, based on the British series Brief Encounters, dives into the lives of four women in 1992, venturing into door-to-door sales of adult products in a conservative rural village where talking about sex was still taboo. The show promises a tale of independence, growth, and unexpected friendships.

The preview begins with Han Jung Sook (played by Kim So Yeon ), flipping through newspapers for job ads that suit her situation as a single mother. Her financial struggles worsen when she finds out her unreliable husband has squandered their rent money. Forced to make ends meet, she decides to take up selling adult products—a bold and difficult decision.

Jung Sook soon teams up with Seo Young Bok (Kim Sun Young), who is also struggling financially, and later convinces housewife Oh Geum Hee (Kim Sung Ryung) to join by assuring her, "It’ll be a new and fun experience."

The preview then shifts to a hilarious scene where Jung Sook encounters Kim Do Hyun ( Yeon Woo Jin ), a recently transferred detective. Shocked, he inspects her sales items and asks, “So you’re saying these are your final hope, right?” Jung Sook, clutching her goods, runs off with a grateful shout of “Thank you!”

As she presents her products to potential customers, the initial shock quickly turns into curiosity, and business starts to boom. The sneak peek ends on a high note, with Jung Sook confidently declaring, “I’ve developed confidence in this business.”

“A Virtuous Business” will air its first episode on October 12 at 10:30 p.m. KST, bringing humor, empowerment, and heartwarming moments.
