The action thriller "The Fall Guy," starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, has been officially rescheduled by Universal Pictures for release on May 3, 2024.

It's taking the place that was left open by Deadpool 3, as Deadpool 3 postponed its release due to the Hollywood actors' strike that just ended.

The movie directed by David Leitch was originally scheduled to be released in theaters on March 1, 2024.

Disney has pushed back the release of multiple films due to the Hollywood actors' strike. This has affected titles like Marvel's Captain America: New World Order, Thunderbolts, and the Blade reboot. They've also delayed the release of Musafa: The Lion King. Notably, Deadpool 3, which was supposed to hit theaters in early May 2024, will now premiere on July 26, 2024.

'The Fall Guy' showcases breathtaking action sequences that redefine the standard for excitement

The official trailer for The Fall Guy, unveiled by Universal, premiered on November 2 and runs for almost three and a half minutes.

Set against the backdrop of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name," the scene offered a sneak peek into the movie's core—a love story filled with longing, featuring Gosling as a daring stuntman and Blunt as a passionate film director.

The story progresses as Gosling feels driven to save a vanished movie star, putting Blunt's film in jeopardy if he doesn't succeed.

Based on Glen A Larson's 1980s TV show, The Fall Guy features Colt Seavers (played by Gosling), a stuntman who finds himself out of work.

Seavers finds himself collaborating with his former girlfriend, Blunt, as she steps into the role of a Hollywood director for the first time. In this new venture, he takes on the role of a stuntman for a rising action star.

Seavers must track down the vanished star, driven by the need to win back his love and reaffirm his position as a top stuntman.

Introducing the impressive lineup of actors and production team behind 'The Fall Guy'

"The Fall Guy" features a screenplay penned by Drew Pearce and is produced by a team including Leitch, Gosling, Kelly McCormick, and Guymon Casady.
