YG Entertainment's Statement Confirms BLACKPINK Won't Renew Individual Contracts For Solo Endeavors
Despite BLACKPINK 's four members recently renewing their contracts with YG Entertainment for their collective endeavors, they have decided not to extend their individual agreements for solo pursuits.
As of December 29, YG Entertainment made an official announcement stating that the members of BLACKPINK would not enter into exclusive contracts with the agency for their individual endeavors separate from the group.
Days prior to the announcement, Jennie personally confirmed the launch of her new label, OA (ODD ATELIER), dedicated to her solo ventures outside of BLACKPINK.

"Hello, this is YG Entertainment.
BLACKPINK recently renewed their contracts with YG for their group activities, and we have agreed not to proceed with additional contracts for [the members’] individual activities.
We will do our utmost to support BLACKPINK’s activities, and we will cheer on the members’ individual activities with warm hearts.
