Tate McRae, catapulting her hit 'Greedy' from No. 22 to No. 11 on the current Billboard Hot 100, is set to make her inaugural appearance at the Billboard Music Awards with a live performance. This track marks her second top 20 hit, succeeding 'You Broke Me First,' which peaked at No. 17 in March 2021. Alongside her BBMA debut, McRae graces the cover of Billboard magazine for the first time this week.

The live performance took place at the recently opened Moxy Hotel situated in downtown Los Angeles, a property within the Marriott Bonvoy collection of hotel brands. This year's BBMAs are being presented by Marriott Bonvoy, which is part of Marriott's travel program and marketplace.

For the second consecutive year, McRae secures her spot as a finalist at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards in the category of top dance/electronic song, this time for her collaboration with Tiësto on the track '10:35.' The song achieved the impressive feat of reaching No. 2 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and No. 69 on the Hot 100. This nomination follows her previous recognition in the same category last year for her collaboration 'You' with Regard and Troye Sivan.

McRae's chart-topping single 'Greedy' is set to be a part of her upcoming second album titled 'Think Later,' scheduled for release on December 8 through RCA Records. This anticipated album launch will precede her highly anticipated 2024 world tour.

McRae joins a star-studded lineup of BBMAs performers including Mariah Carey, Bebe Rexha & David Guetta, KAROL G, NewJeans, Peso Pluma, Stray Kids, and Morgan Wallen, who were previously announced. The performances and awards will be broadcasted across BBMAs and Billboard social media channels, along with BBMAs.watch, starting on Sunday, November 19, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

At the age of 20, McRae boasts an impressive record of seven hits on the Hot 100, with two of them making their mark this year. Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the singer has notably secured seven songs on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart. Her track 'You Broke Me First' achieved a noteworthy position, reaching No. 2 in April 2021. Furthermore, her latest hit, 'Greedy,' has surged to No. 7 on the same chart this week, adding to her string of successes.

Taylor Swift leads the pack as the top finalist at the 2023 BBMAs, amassing an impressive 20 nominations across various categories. Following closely behind are Morgan Wallen and SZA, both securing 17 nominations each, making them strong contenders. The Weeknd is next in line with 16 nominations, while Drake and Zach Bryan are tied at 14 nominations each. Notable artists like Luke Combs with 10 nominations, followed by 21 Savage, Metro Boomin, and Miley Cyrus with nine nods each, showcase the diversity of talent recognized in this year's nominations. Other notable artists include Beyoncé and Rema with seven nominations each, Bad Bunny and Peso Pluma with six each, and several artists such as Ariana Grande, David Guetta, Eslabon Armado, Karol G, NewJeans, and Selena Gomez receiving five nominations each.
