Sungjin of DAY6 Announces Solo Debut and Concert, Drops Teaser for Album '30'

DAY6 ’s Sungjin is finally stepping into the solo spotlight! After much anticipation, the talented vocalist and guitarist officially announced his solo debut on October 17. Fans can look forward to his first full-length solo album, “30,” set to drop on November 5 at 6 p.m. KST.

Titled in honor of his age, "30" marks a significant milestone in Sungjin’s career, highlighting his musical journey and personal growth. To add to the excitement, Sungjin will also be holding his first-ever solo concert just days after the album’s release. From November 8 to 10, he will perform three consecutive shows at Kwangwoon University’s Donghae Arts Center.

Meet Sungjin
Park Sung-jin, commonly known as Sungjin, is a South Korean musician, singer, songwriter, and guitarist, renowned as the leader, guitarist, and vocalist of the pop rock band Day6.

2009–2015: Pre-debut
Before his official debut, Park showcased his talent by performing at school festivals. In 2009, he won the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the CMB Chin Chin Youth Festival. That same year, he made a memorable appearance on the popular variety show Star King, where he revealed that he received casting offers from five different companies. After auditioning successfully, he joined JYP Entertainment as a trainee.

In September 2013, Park featured in the fourth episode of WIN: Who is Next?, performing as part of JYP’s vocalist team alongside his future Day6 bandmates. He also participated in Hidden Singer 2 on December 15, 2013, where he was introduced as a JYP trainee and the lead vocalist for an upcoming rookie group. Additionally, he was a member of 5live, a group initially set to debut in 2014, although their debut was postponed.

2015–present: Day6, Solo Activities, and Upcoming Solo Debut
On September 7, 2015, Park officially debuted as the leader of Day6 with their first EP, The Day, featuring the lead single "Congratulations."

He made his Japanese debut with Day6 on March 14, 2018, releasing the single "If ~また逢えたら~."

After completing his military service, Park returned to the public eye on October 25, 2022, appearing on EBS FM Night Radio hosted by Pentagon's Shinwon. He became the weekly radio host for KBS Station Z starting November 2, 2022, and launched his personal YouTube channel in December 2022.

On October 16, 2024, it was announced that he would be making his solo debut with a full-length album titled 30, set for release on November 5, 2024. He is also scheduled to hold his first solo concert from November 8 to November 10, 2024.
