LE SSERAFIM’s Hong Eunchae Steps Down As 'Music Bank' MC, ILLIT's Minju Set To Take Over

LE SSERAFIM ’s Hong Eunchae will soon be stepping down from her role as MC on KBS’s “Music Bank” after a successful run of over a year. Her departure is reportedly due to her increasingly packed schedule. In her place, ILLIT’s Minju will take over alongside Moon Sang Min .

KBS confirmed the news on September 12, saying, “Hong Eunchae will be leaving her MC position on ‘ Music Bank .’ ILLIT member Minju is the successor.” While the exact timing of Eunchae’s last appearance as an MC is still being discussed, the transition marks the end of her journey that began in February 2023.

Hong Eunchae, who debuted with LE SSERAFIM in May 2022, quickly gained popularity both as an idol and a TV personality. She brought her bright energy to the “Music Bank” stage, endearing herself to viewers.

Taking over will be Minju, the rising star from ILLIT. She gained attention on the survival show R U Next?, where she finished 3rd, securing her spot in ILLIT. The group debuted earlier this year in March with their mini-album Super Real Me.
