BTS’ Jimin Sets Vinyl Release For Debut Solo Record 'FACE'

Great news for BTS fans and vinyl enthusiasts! Jimin , a member of the globally acclaimed group BTS, is all set to drop a vinyl edition of his debut solo album, 'FACE.' This announcement was made by BIGHIT MUSIC on October 12.

'FACE' initially hit the music scene back in March, marking Jimin's official solo debut. Before that, he had treated fans to a handful of solo tracks on Soundcloud .

The vinyl version of 'FACE' is now available for pre-order in South Korea and Japan. For fans in the US and Europe, the pre-order will kick off on October 18 at 11 AM KST (10 PM ET). If you can't wait to get your hands on it, the vinyl will start shipping on December 8 in Korea, December 15 in Japan, and January 12, 2024, in the US and Europe.

The Weverse announcement shared, "It resonated deeply with the fans for its authentic expression of the emotions he had felt over the past two years. To express our gratitude for your tremendous support, we're making 'FACE' available on vinyl."

But that's not all; Jimin has more in store for his fans. He's all set to release a solo documentary film titled 'Jimin's Production Diary ' later this month. The film promises to take viewers behind the scenes, providing a closer look at Jimin as a person and sharing his candid emotions and thoughts during the album-making process. So, if you're curious about what goes on behind the scenes, you won't want to miss this.

One teaser trailer has already been released, featuring Jimin working in the studio on his music. He shares, "It's something that I shouldn't think too simply. It became the opportunity to know what I should do more clearly. I can say that there are more things I want to do." 'Jimin's Production Diary' will premiere on Weverse on October 23.

'FACE' is a record that has etched Jimin's name in the history books. It made him the first South Korean solo artist to achieve a Number One single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He accomplished this feat with the hit track 'Like Crazy,' which also earned him a spot in the UK's Top 10.

NME gave 'FACE' a glowing four-star review, saying, “Jimin has spoken about wanting to challenge himself on this record and show something darker and more raw. Sonically, he’s done just that here, using a range of sounds and styles across the five tracks that both add new strings to his bow as an artist and craft an inky and compelling atmosphere. If Jimin’s mission on this record was to stretch himself creatively and distil that dissonance in these songs, it’s one he’s accomplished.”

So, whether you're a vinyl collector or a dedicated BTS fan, mark your calendars for the release of 'FACE' on vinyl and the premiere of 'Jimin's Production Diary' for a deeper look into the artist's creative journey.
