As the release of Moon Knight Season 1 on 4K UHD and Blu-ray approaches, fans are clamoring for more of the Fist of Khonshu's adventures on Disney+. However, Marvel Studios seems to have no immediate plans for a second season, despite the heightened demand.

In a discussion with Screen Rant ahead of the Blu-ray release, costume designer Meghan Kasperlik confirmed that a second season wasn't currently in the works at Marvel. "No, people have been asking me and maybe that's why, because of 'The Complete First Season' of the Blu-ray, but no, I've heard nothing. I've heard nothing about it," she stated. Moon Knight, starring Oscar Isaac , made its debut on Disney+ in March 2022, spanning six episodes. The announcement of the 4K UHD and Blu-ray steelbook release came two years later, with availability slated for April 30.

When asked about potential adaptations of other comic book looks for a second season, Kasperlik emphasized that it would depend on the narrative direction. "Because so many times when shows say that they're only doing one season or whatnot, then they come back, something about the story changes so much or a new character is incorporated that is not maybe necessarily thought of. Listen, if they do a season 2, I am on board. I loved it so much, but I haven't gotten any phone calls."

Is Moon Knight Part of the MCU's Rumored Midnight Sons Project?
Despite Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige hinting at Moon Knight's future in the MCU in February 2023, the character has yet to resurface in the franchise. However, rumors abound regarding a Midnight Sons project in development at Marvel, potentially featuring Moon Knight alongside other supernatural figures like Blade , Werewolf by Night, and Agatha Harkness. Isaac himself expressed interest in seeing Moon Knight as part of a team in a Midnight Sons project.

Blade Reportedly Sets Up Midnight Sons
Insider Daniel Richtman has suggested that Marvel Studios' upcoming Blade reboot will lay the groundwork for a Midnight Sons crossover. Reports indicate that Marvel is actively working on a Midnight Sons movie, with Michael Giacchino, known for his work on Werewolf by Night, reportedly attached to direct.

The Blade reboot has faced delays since its announcement at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con. Multiple script revisions have occurred, with the latest version purportedly set in the contemporary MCU. Mahershala Ali will return as Blade following his cameo in the 2021 film, Eternals, with Mia Goth rumored to portray the main antagonist, speculated to be Lilith, Mother of All Demons. Filming for Blade is expected to commence in Fall 2024.

Moon Knight is currently available for streaming on Disney+.
