Ananya Panday showcased a stunning soft pink anarkali set by Re-Ceremonial at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant ’s haldi ceremony. This angrakha-style ensemble is crafted from 80 panels of silk cotton Chanderi, plant-dyed with recycled tender coconut skins. According to the brand, the bodice features heritage Himroo weave in recycled cotton and zari, while the 15-meter circumference is edged in metal Lampi Gota.

The look is completed with a hand-embroidered dupatta adorned with gota and glass beads. Ananya accessorized with gold-toned jewelry, including dangling earrings, a maang tikka, and a trio of kadas on one hand. Her sleek bun, adorned with gajra, added a floral touch to the haldi-themed outfit.

Anarkalis , popular during the Mughal era, are characterized by a loose-fitting, flowy kurta paired with a slim-fitting churidar and a vibrant, heavy dupatta. These outfits are often made from luxurious fabrics like velvet, silk, chiffon, or net, and adorned with elaborate threadwork, handweaving, sequins, shimmer, lace, and mirrors.

The anarkali's timeless beauty is highlighted in recent media, such as the Netflix series Heeramandi. Bollywood celebrities, including Aditi Rao Hydari and Soha Ali Khan, have recently chosen anarkalis for red-carpet events and high-profile gatherings. This fusion of historical significance and modern flair ensures the anarkali remains a beloved choice for many.
