Ricochet responds to rumors of Fiancée Samantha Irvin being AEW-bound
Mere moments after the news of Samantha Irvin ’s WWE departure came out, there was a lot of talk suggesting that she is jumping to AEW to join her fiancé Ricochet . But, it seems like all of this was just talk after all, as the AEW star has already made it clear that his fiancé will not be heading to AEW. Here’s how Ricochet broke the news to his fans.
“Haha, she’s not coming to AEW. You can all rest easy.”

To be fair, it wouldn’t make any sense for Samantha to head to AEW following WWE. The latter is a bigger brand and has helped Irvin spread her name throughout the world. So, she had no reason whatsoever to leave for AEW, a promotion that is nowhere near as big as the WWE. Let’s take a look at what’s next in store for the 35-year-old announcer .

Samantha Irvin will pursue a career in music following her WWE exit
Several reports have confirmed that Samantha made her decision to step away from WWE, in order to pursue a career in music. Which is a shame considering Irvin could have increased her likelihood of being successful in music if she had stuck around WWE for a while longer. Samantha’s announcing skills were second to none and were only getting better with time.
The fact that she moved from NXT, to SmackDown and was the full-time announcer for RAW before her exit makes it clear that Samantha is one of the best in the business. Legendary announcer, Michael Buffer also acknowledges Irvin as a splendid announcer and has nothing but praise for the work she did at WrestleMania 40.
While this is a big loss to WWE, they have quickly bounced back by bringing Lilian Garcia back to the company. However, it still isn’t clear whether Garcia is the permanent replacement of Irvin or not. It wouldn’t be surprising if WWE goes all out and signs a new announcer in an effort to completely replace Samantha.
