Punjab ex-ADGP joins Congress

Gurinder Singh Dhillon , a former Punjab Police ADG , joined Congress on Tuesday, six days after resigning from IPS ahead of his retirement due in a few weeks. With Congress having announced candidates for 12 of the state’s 13 LS seats, speculation is rife that Dhillon may be fielded from Ferozepur .

Dhillon joined Congress in Delhi in the presence of AICC state in-charge Devender Yadav .

He expressed admiration for Rahul Gandhi and recalled that he first met Rahul during the Punjab leg of his “Bharat Jodo Yatra”.
