Khurshid kin lands in 'vote jihad' soup

Former Union minister and Congress functionary Salman Khurshid and his niece Maria Alam Khan , a local SP functionary, were booked on Tuesday for allegedly violating model code of conduct. This comes after she urged members of the minority community to “come together for vote jihad”. A purported video of the speech was later widely circulated on social media.

Khurshid also shared the stage with her at the meeting in support of INDIA bloc candidate from SP, Dr Naval Kishore Shakya .
