Post Animal success, is Triptii Dimri eyeing Hollywood? Here's what we know

Following her success with Animal and Bad Newz, Triptii Dimri is now setting her sights on Hollywood. Reports indicate that the actress is actively seeking an agent to represent her in the Western film industry, and is open to taking on even small roles to advance her career.


In a recent interview with Variety, Triptii Dimri revealed her plans to start auditioning for Western projects and her intention to find an agent. "Even a small part could be incredibly beneficial for me, as I admire the way actors work in the West," she shared.

Triptii has previously spoken highly of Priyanka Chopra, admiring her confidence and bravery in relaunching her career abroad. In an interview with Vogue India, Triptii praised Priyanka for her confidence, noting, “She is very confident, and it takes courage to move to another country and start anew. She had the guts to do that, and there’s much to learn from her. I think she’s brilliant in every film she’s done, especially Barfi.”

In a January interview with Hello Magazine, Triptii again lauded Priyanka Chopra, mentioning her as a significant influence in her life. When asked about her biggest influences, Triptii highlighted her admiration for Priyanka, saying, “Among actresses, Priyanka Chopra [Jonas] is a major inspiration. She’s incredibly talented and versatile. I’m really inspired by her work and the way she manages her career.”

While on Bad Newz, over the first weekend, the film minted about 29.7 crore, but since then, the film has been on a downward trend with just a small spike on Tuesday which was purely on basis of ‘ Buy One Get One’ offer. It ended the first week run with Rs 42.85 crore.


The downward trend of the film continued even on its second Friday, where as per early estimates by Sacnilk, the film minted just Rs 2 crore, a 72 % drop from its Thursday collection of Rs 2.75 crore. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 44.85 crore. However, with the weekend coming in, the collection is expected to rise and cross the Rs 50 crore mark before the week ends. The film will face massive competition this week, as Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool & Wolverine was released on Friday and minted nearly Rs 21 crore in India, and is expected to go beyond Rs 50 crore by the end of the weekend.
