Flyover work: Min calls meet to address plaints
T'puram: Food and civil supplies minister G R Anil said on Tuesday the confusion regarding the traffic regulations related to the construction of the Karakulam flyover, affecting routes towards Thiruvananthapuram and Nedumangad, will be resolved promptly.
The minister, who is also the local legislator, made this statement after personally assessing the progress of the Karakulam overpass construction.
Due to complaints arising from certain areas about the current traffic restrictions, a meeting led by the minister with officials will be held on Thursday to evaluate these issues and find appropriate solutions. The meeting will take place at the Karakulam panchayat office at 2 pm.
A special monitoring system will be implemented to understand and alleviate the inconveniences faced by locals, including issues with vehicle diversions. The minister also mentioned that the progress of the flyover and the four-lane road construction will be accurately assessed and emphasized the need for complete public cooperation until the project's completion.
Traffic restrictions related to the flyover construction from Karakulam Bridge Junction to Keltron Junction on the Thiruvananthapuram-Thenmala (SH 2) road have been in place since last Monday. TNN
