Group clash in Odisha: 1 killed, three injured in Keonjhar

KEONJHAR: One person died and three others sustained injuries after two groups clashed over an old rivalry in a village in Keonjhar district of Odisha, police said

The incident occurred in Pandua village on Tuesday evening when a young man from one group was attacked and killed by a member of the opposing faction.

Following this, members of the deceased's group set the assailant's house on fire and attacked his father, mother, and brother, a police officer said.

To quell the escalating tension, the police deployed additional personnel to the village to restore order and maintain control over the situation.

"The police have arrested the main accused in the murder," the officer said.
