Raayan Box Office Collection Day 1: Dhanush’s latest release Raayan was released on Friday, and the first day box office collections of the film seem to be impressive. According to reports from Sacnilk, Raayan’s first day box office collections were around INR 12.5 crore (net) in India in all languages. Dhanush’s performance has been highly appreciated in the film.

The action thriller registered around INR 11 crore in Tamil and INR 1.5 crore in Telugu, according to a trade report from Sacnilk. The film had an overall 58.65% occupancy in Tamil on Friday (July 26, 2024). In Telugu the occupancy was at 26.23%, and in Hindi, it was a meagre 7.10%. Nonetheless, Raayan was off to an impressive start on day 1 on Friday in Telugu and Tamil. Reports also indicate that Dhanush’s film has the potential to pick up steam during the weekends on Saturday and Sunday. However, the Hindi version hasn’t made any buzz as much as expected. Raayan has been directed by Dhanush himself –his second directorial venture - and produced by Sun Pictures. The action thriller also features S. J. Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Prakash Raj, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Selvaraghavan, and Kalidas Jayaram in key roles.
