BBC viewers at home complained within minutes of watching Michael McIntyre's Big Show. The comedy series, in which Michael interacts with several celebrities as they share their personal and professional lives, aired a repeat episode on Saturday night. The show originally first aired in 2015, and tonight, the BBC broadcast an episode from series seven, which featured Katherine Ryan and Bradley Walsh. However, fans watching at home were less than impressed with the repeat episode being served up as content and took to social media to vent their frustrations.

One person said on X: "The #BBC right now repeating Michael McIntyre, and along with that honeymoon show and its woeful news output what has happened to this once great tv station...time to abolish the licence fee."

A second person also chimed in: "The same tonight. Michael McIntyre is a friggin repeat! Why are we expected to pay a licence fee?"

A third person also commented: "@BBC why are you repeating #michaelmcintyre on prime time television!?? At least put a decent film on instead."

During the repeat, which was filmed at London's prestigious Theatre Royal Drury Lane, football legend Frank Lampard surprised a hugely deserving Unexpected Star of the Show, and singer Beverley Knight gave a spectacular stage performance.

Michael also entertains audiences with his second BBC show, The Wheel, which combines huge celebrity guests with comedy and, of course, a game show theme.

In April this year, Express Online revealed that work on the sixth series of this beloved game show had begun. The BBC is reportedly committed to two further series of the BAFTA-nominated series.

Meanwhile, Michael's Big Show has also been commissioned for two more series, bringing its total to ten series.
