Former US President Donald Trump, running for the Republican presidential nomination, has reiterated his strict immigration policy, vowing to deport millions of undocumented immigrants if he wins the 2024 election.

During a rally in Duluth, Georgia, Trump stated, "Immediately upon taking the oath of office, I will launch the largest deportation programme in American history." He emphasized that stopping illegal immigration would be a priority from day one of his administration, even declaring plans to secure the border within "the first hour."

Trump has positioned the immigration situation as a national crisis, making bold claims about the necessity of deportations. He previously indicated that he would pursue the death penalty for migrants who kill US citizens or law enforcement officers and plans to invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to dismantle illegal migrant networks. His initiative, called "Operation Aurora," focuses on targeting gang members and criminal elements among the immigrant population. Trump has described several towns across the US as "invaded" and vowed to protect communities from what he referred to as “bloodthirsty criminals.”

At another rally in Colorado, Trump voiced concerns about rising “migrant crime,” predicting that conditions would deteriorate further. He claimed, "Crime is through the roof, and you haven't seen the migrant crime yet," and warned that some areas were being overrun by migrants, ominously suggesting that regaining control would be “a bloody story.”

In conversations with notable figures like Elon Musk and during a Fox News interview, Trump reiterated his commitment to strict immigration enforcement. He highlighted the influx of illegal immigrants, stating, "You have millions of people coming in a month," and emphasized that he would implement the "largest deportation in the history of this country" to combat this issue.

Trump has also expressed concerns about potential disruptions on Election Day, citing "outside agitators" as a threat. He claimed that radical left groups pose a greater danger than external threats and suggested that military action could be necessary to maintain order. "If necessary, it should be handled by the National Guard, or even by the military if needed," he stated, underscoring his willingness to use these forces to ensure safety and law enforcement in the country.

In an interview earlier this year, Trump predicted a significant increase in undocumented immigrants by the end of President Biden’s term, estimating as many as 20 million could be in the country. He stressed the need for local law enforcement in his strategy, stating, "We will absolutely start with the criminals that are coming in." While expressing a preference for using the National Guard, Trump made it clear he would not hesitate to involve the military if he believed it was necessary to uphold law and order.
