Taapsee Pannu Urges for Greater Unity Among Outsiders in Bollywood

Taapsee Pannu has been vocal about the effects of nepotism in Bollywood, often contrasting the advantages enjoyed by "star kids" with the challenges faced by outsiders. While she has criticized the benefits that come with nepotism, she also acknowledges a positive aspect of being a star kid: their strong sense of unity and mutual support.

In her recent comments, Taapsee emphasized that while star kids often receive undue advantages, they also demonstrate remarkable solidarity. “One positive thing I've noticed about those with industry connections is their ability to stay together and support one another,” she remarked. “This sense of unity is something that we, as outsiders, could benefit from.”

Taapsee highlighted that insiders in the industry tend to have a supportive network that extends beyond mere professional courtesy. “We outsiders are often caught up in our struggles and competition. We might message each other when a film is released, but the level of support and camaraderie among industry kids is more profound,” she explained. “There’s a genuine vibe of standing by each other, whether a film is successful or not, which is something we can learn from.”

She also pointed out that this strong sense of unity among star kids often contrasts with the more competitive and sometimes insecure atmosphere among outsiders. “We tend to feel competitive and insecure about each other's successes,” Taapsee noted. “In contrast, industry insiders frequently recommend and support each other, which is a valuable quality we could adopt.”

On the professional front, Taapsee Pannu is currently involved in two notable projects. Her film Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is available on Netflix, featuring Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal alongside her. She is also appearing in Khel Khel Mein, which stars Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal.

Taapsee Pannu also shared her thoughts on "nepo kids" and praised their strong sense of unity and mutual support.

“I've observed that star kids often have a remarkable ability to recommend, support, and stand by each other,” Taapsee noted. “In my experience, their sense of togetherness is more pronounced than what we, as outsiders, typically have. This is one positive aspect we could learn from them.”

Known for her impactful performances in films like Pink, Thappad, Rashmi Rocket, and Shabaash Mithu, Taapsee is currently earning acclaim for her roles in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba and Khel Khel Mein. Her work in Pink and Baby was particularly well-received by both audiences and critics. She gained further recognition with films such as The Ghazi Attack, Mulk, Manmarziyaan, Badla, and Mission Mangal. Her recent role in Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki has also garnered significant praise.
