Babar Azam's team lost their fuse, lost 8 wickets in 53 balls, and surrendered in front of a 36-year-old bowler.

In the fourth match of the Champions One Day Cup, a new cricket tournament started in Pakistan, Markhors defeated Stallions badly. In this tournament being played in Faisalabad, Markhors scored only 231 runs and won by a huge margin of 126 runs. The star of this victory was the player who was dropped by Pakistan after just 6 matches. Now this bowler alone took 5 wickets, due to which Stallions lost 8 wickets in 9 overs. Even Babar Azam failed to save his team. 36-year-old Zahid Mahmood did this to Stallions.

In this match held on Sunday, September 15, both teams came with the intention of winning their second match. Both had won their first matches easily. This time also the Markhors batted first but in front of the excellent bowling of Jahandad Khan and Mehran Mumtaz, the entire team collapsed for just 231 runs in 45 overs. Kamran Ghulam, who scored a brilliant century in the last match, was also out after scoring just 11 runs. Captain Mohammad Rizwan could also score only 33 runs.

The Markhors had lost 4 wickets for just 94 runs by the 21st over, after which a good partnership between Agha Salman (51) and Iftikhar Ahmed (60) steadied the innings. Both scored half-centuries but Mumtaz and Jahandad quickly finished off the team by taking 5 wickets in the last 19 balls. Mehran took 3 wickets for 56 runs and Jahandad took 4 wickets for 49 runs.

Zahid Mahmood destroyed the Stallions.

In response, the start of the Stallions was also not good and the team lost the first wicket by 13 runs. Here Babar Azam came to the crease and by hitting 5 consecutive fours in one over of Shahnawaz Dahani, he expressed his intention that he would return only after making the team win. Meanwhile, Shan Masood also got out but Babar was collecting boundaries. Then Tayyab Tahir got out on the 5th ball of the 15th over and from here the fall of wickets started.

In the very next over, leg spinner Zahid took Babar's wicket on his first ball. Soon the entire team collapsed for just 105 runs in 23.4 overs and thus 8 wickets fell in 53 balls. 36-year-old Zahid took 5 wickets for just 18 runs in 4.4 overs. Zahid's performance against Babar Azam and his team was also special because 2 years ago, under Babar's captaincy, Zahid was dropped from the team after playing only 2 Tests and 4 ODIs and never got a chance again.
