iPhone 16 launch date and time 

The iPhone 16 series will be launched on September 9, with simultaneous events in India, the US, and Dubai. The event will begin at 10 am PT in the US, 10:30 pm IST in India, and 9:00 pm in the UAE.

When and where to watch Apple's live event 

Apple will livestream the iPhone 16 launch event, which will include a speech by Apple CEO Tim Cook. People in India can watch the live event on Apple's official website, Apple TV app, and YouTube at 10:30 pm IST.

iPhone 16 pre-booking and availability

The iPhone 16 series is set to launch in India on September 9. According to reports, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus may retain the price of the older generation, which starts at Rs 79,900 and Rs 89,900. However, the Pro models are rumored to get a price hike of Rs 10,000, with the iPhone 16 Pro starting at Rs 1,34,900 and the iPhone 16 Pro Max starting at Rs 1,59,900. Pre-bookings for the iPhone 16 series are expected to start on the day of launch itself. Sales may begin around September 19 or 20. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are expected to come in Black, Green, Pink, Blue, and White colors. 

Expected specifications of iPhone 16 

Apple is expected to introduce significant design changes in the iPhone 16 series across all four models. One of the key features could be the inclusion of a new capture button across all models. The iPhone 16 series is also rumored to feature a glossy titanium finish, which not only enhances its sleek look but also offers better scratch resistance than the stainless steel finish of previous models. 

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to get bigger screens of 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively. At the same time, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus may retain the screen size of their older models. But minor design updates like a new vertical camera layout and additional buttons may be included. 

The iPhone 16 Pro models are rumored to feature a 48MP ultra-wide camera and a new tetraprism 5x optical zoom lens, which will enhance their photography capabilities. The standard iPhone 16 models will include a vertical camera arrangement, which could enable spatial video recording. 

The iPhone 16 is expected to have a 3,561mAh battery, the iPhone 16 Plus a 4,006mAh battery, the iPhone 16 Pro a 3,577mAh battery, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max a 4,676mAh battery. The Pro model may also include stacked battery technology, which offers more capacity and longer life. Apart from this, the iPhone 16 Pro model can support 40W wired charging and 20W MagSafe wireless charging.
