His father gave an interview to PTI, in which he expressed happiness over his son being selected for Team India. He also told about that moment which was like an accident for his entire family. Yash Dayal's father told about the last time in his interview about what the family had to face after Rinku Singh hit 5 sixes in a single over in IPL 2023.

Yash Dayal's father Chandrapal Dayal, who is a retired officer from the Accountant General Office of Prayagraj, said that for us that moment was like an accident. He said that when the school bus would pass by our house in the afternoon, the children sitting in it would hoot saying Rinku Singh, Rinku Singh, 5 sixes. Such things were affecting our entire family badly and it was visible too.

The father further said that Yash Dayal was breaking down mentally seeing such things happening to him. He was seen moving towards depression. Yash's mother Radha had fallen ill after being hurt by these incidents. She had even stopped eating and drinking. The father admitted that that moment was definitely terrible but now everything is back on track. And, this is because we stood by our son even after that incident, so that he could live his dreams. He could make them come true.

Chandrapal Dayal said that he had told his son Yash that he would not leave until he played for India. I had filled him with the belief that he would play for India. Now the day is near when his father's belief in Yash Dayal is going to turn into reality. He has been selected in the team against Bangladesh, now we are just waiting for Yash Dayal to make his debut.
