Accused of stealing laddus, the principal expelled two sisters from school… The education department in action

In Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, the principal expelled two sisters from school accusing them of stealing laddus. The families of the students alleged that the principal also expelled them and said that 'bad character' would be written in the TC of both of them. The incident took place on August 16. The matter has now become serious, after which the education department has ordered an inquiry into it.

The case is of a government school located in the Nakur area of Saharanpur. Here a student studying in class 7 was accused of stealing laddus on the occasion of Independence Day. Along with the student, the principal also expelled her elder sister who studies in class 8 from the school. The students went and told the whole thing to their family. The family also went to the school and talked about this. It is alleged that no one listened to them. The family has also accused the school of beating the students.

The victim student said- Laddus was ordered to be distributed in the school on 15th August. Some laddus were left over and they were kept in the principal's office. The next day on 16th August, the children came to school. Principal sir was teaching, at that time he gave work to the children and went to drink water. Then some female students of the class stole the laddus and ate them. Sir blamed me for this and expelled me from the school.

Jasbir Kumar, the father of the students, went to the school and talked. When the matter was not resolved, he met the SDM and complained. He said - False allegations have been made against my daughter. Now both the daughters are being threatened with expulsion from the school.

'I was falsely accused'

The victim student said that she had no hand in the theft, rather other girls had committed the theft and she was falsely implicated. The victim said that she had not committed the theft, but the principal blamed her, beat her, and expelled her from the school.

What did the BSA officer say?

Now, seeing the seriousness of this incident, the education department has come into action. Saharanpur's Basic Education Officer Kumari Komal said that this matter has come to her notice recently. On which she has ordered an immediate investigation. The Block Education Officer has been instructed to talk to the families of the students and get them counseled. In the initial investigation, no concrete evidence of Laddu theft has been found, but the matter is being thoroughly investigated.
