BBC Breakfast's Dan Walker and Louise Minchin make emotional return after co-star died of cancer
BBC Breakfast witnessed the comeback of Dan Walker and Louise Minchin on Sunday's programme, as they delivered a heartfelt tribute to their former colleague Bill Turnbull, who died in 2022.
In August 2022, ex-BBC Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull died at the age of 66 following his battle with prostate cancer. His representatives confirmed the tragic news at the time.
His family also issued a statement which read, "Bill will be remembered by many as a remarkable broadcaster who brought warmth and humour into people's homes.

"Following a challenging and committed fight against prostate cancer, Bill passed away peacefully at his home in Suffolk surrounded by his family on Wednesday, 31 August."
They added, "He was resolutely positive and was hugely buoyed by the support he received from friends, colleagues and messages from people wishing him luck," reports the Express.
Now, in a touching tribute to Bill, Louise and Dan are taking part in the charitable cycling event Tour de 4, which Sir Chris Hoy established.
BBC Breakfast presenter John Maguire was broadcasting live from the location when he noticed Dan and Louise amongst the participants.
As he approached the former BBC presenters, John described Dan and Louise as "BBC Breakfast royalty".
"Has it been 10 years since we last saw you? Something like that? Five years, I'm not sure. Louise and Dan, obviously. How are you?" John said.
As Louise mentioned that it had been four years since she left the red sofa, she responded to John, "Oh, we're really excited. It's an absolute honour to be here."
"And we've just managed to fix Dan's bike. So all good and an amazing cause we're riding, both of us, for prostate cancer, in memory of our dear, beloved Bill Turnbull, so amazing to be here."
John chipped in: "She's been giving you lots of tips, because it all started at Breakfast, didn't it? Your cycling career?".
"It was all because of Bill that I am here," Louise grinned. "I took up cycling because of something he said to me."
Dan continued by revealing that Louise had given him some guidance and pointers before the charity ride.
He said: "I am ready for action."
BBC Breakfast airs daily at 6am on BBC One.
